Samsung Engineering is proud to proclaim its significant progress in the Middle East since our first project in 1998. Since then, we have a total of 17 successful ongoing and completed projects in markets such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE.
As a result of our reputation for handling quality projects on schedule, within budget and safely, we have been rewarded with an expansion into the North African market and repeat orders from the world's largest national energy and chemical producers.
From our performance in the past decade, our future with the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region looks bright. In this year alone we acquired a mega refinery order in Algeria from SONATRACH, main packages from the Jubail Export Refinery complex headed by Aramco-Total consortium in Saudi Arabia, and several historic contracts from ADNOC in the UAE.
Our ambition for the Middle East remains strong, as we have clearly shown our clients our commitment to project safety, technical expertise and innovative engineering solutions. Since Samsung Engineering founded In Kingdom EPC in 2008, this education and R&D center now has over 180 employees, serving as a testament to our long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia's sustainability through job creation and the transfer of valuable knowledge and providing additional project support to our clients.
We welcome the triumphs as well as the challenges of the region, and hope to continue this win-win partnership for decades to come.
