Samsung Engineering achieves strongest performance in history in 2008

Samsung Engineering highlights 2008 as another strong year with 5.8 trillion KRW in new orders, 3.2 trillion KRW in revenue and 179 billion KRW in operating profit. Despite the global recession recognized last year, there was significant growth compared to 2007 and 2008 by an increase of 20.6% in new orders, 41.7% in revenue and 20.4% in operating profit.

Maaden Ammonia Project (World’s largest Ammonia Plant with capacity 3,300 Ton / Day) located in Ras Al Zour, Eastern Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (120km north away from Jubail) recorded 5 Million Safety Manhours without Loss Time Injury (LTI) as of Jul.9th, 2009 out of its’ target 8 Million Safety Manhours up to RFSU (Ready For Start Up) stage on Dec. 2010.

Aramco DHT Project (capacity : DHT 105 MBCD, SRU 200 Ton/Day) located in Ras Tanura, Eastern Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (60km south away from Jubail) recorded 3 Million Safety Manhours without Loss Time Injury (LTI) as of Jun. 29th, 2009 out of its’ target 6 Million Safety Manhours up to MC (Mechanical Completion) stage on Jun. 2010.
